Meridian, Mississippi In partnership with the Meridian (Mississippi) Housing Authority, The Michaels Development Company revitalized Frank Berry Courts, outdated public housing first constructed in 1939. The revitalization ensures that the community will continue to offer quality, attractive, affordable housing and onsite amenities, including supportive services, to low- and moderate-income families in Meridian for decades to come. The revitalization incorporated many energy-efficient upgrades, including a cool roof, generously covered porches, central heating and air-conditioning, insulated windows and doors, Energy Star appliances and water-saving kitchen and bath fixtures. With support from the City and County, the rehabilitation of Frank Berry Courts was financed by a Capital Fund Recovery Competition Grant from HUD as well as bonds issued by the Meridian Housing Authority.
